Like the regular kindercoat, the deluxe separates into a water resistant windbreaker and a warm fleece jacket for Spring or Autumn. The fleece liner/jacket is black in each coat. Each part, and the whole coat, can be worn over any baby carrier and has hoods for baby in each position as well as a hood for the babywearer.

In addition to all of the regular kindercoat features, the deluxe version has these improvements:

Inserts for hip wearing on either hip--the only babywearing coat with the hip carry option!

The drawstrings to adjust the back opening are more easily accessible in the deluxe version as they are located outside the shell and it is not necessary to unzip a few inches of liner to access them.

The back opening on the fleece liner is concealed with hidden zippers so that it is not evident when wearing the fleece liner as its own jacket with baby in a front or hip carry, or without baby.

8 hoods--six built in, and two more that are snap on winter hoods that close around the neck for baby and babywearer in coldest temperatures.

Removable head support for back carries.

Mesh storage bag to contain all accessories, extras, and add-ons when not in use.

The deluxe kindercoat is about 3" longer than the regular so it extends farther down the hips.
