This Earth wrap is brand new and the first few have just arrived. Woven in herringbone weave with multiple shades of brown and a cream de nube (natural) weft. Weft refers to the cross threads woven through the design and the natural colored weft threads give this brown gradation a lovely soft brown feel reminiscent of fresh turned garden earth or maybe your morning latte. Girasol Earth is a gorgeous natural to earthy brown gradation designed for me by Kalleigh Designs. The lovely herringbone weave creates additional subtle interest and really makes this wrap a work of art. Girasol Earth wrap is a unique artisan piece, as it is handwoven on traditional looms in Guatemala. This beautiful earthy wrap will be easy to use straight out of the package as it is thin and already soft. It perfectly conforms around the shape of a tiny newborn or sturdily supports even your heavy toddler in a supportive back carry. Use this wrap in dozens of different ways for front carries, hip carries and for back carries for any age. For those familiar with g/m² or gsm (grams per square meter – a way of measuring fabric weight), this herringbone weave Earth wrap has a gsm of about 210,49 g/m² which makes it light and supple.

Choose Woven Wrap Size

This graphic will help you identify your base size – the wrap length you would use for full length carries. You can choose to get your base size for the widest range of carries, or a shorter length for shorter carries with fewer layers. 2 sizes smaller than your base size is a good size for still having a lot of options if you prefer less fabric. Or get any size you prefer.

Girasol Earth is easy to use and care for

This wrap is 100% cotton so it is easy to care for and does not need babying. The Girasol Earth wrap can be machine washed, may be ironed and occasionally – if haste is required – even dried in tumble-driers.

Girasol Earth – different color rails

Because of the color gradient, Earth makes it easy to keep track of your rails – meaning that you always know which side of the wrap is which and can tell if it had become twisted. You can wrap with either the dark side or the lighter cream side up, and can see whether the wrap has been twisted by whether that color remains on top as you bring it around your body. This helps you get a smooth and even wrap carry that will stay comfortable for hours with even heavy toddlers!

Most of my international shipments are sent by USPS Priority Mail International with a discounted shipping rate of $26 for most European and Australian shipments and $30 for most Canadian shipments.

I ship worldwide – put a wrap in the cart and enter your shipping address to get a shipping quote.

USPS Priority International reports a shipping time of 6-10 business days to most major markets. That means that if you live far from a major city, it may take a little longer.

Woven wrap sizing depends mainly on the size of the adult using the wrap and which carries you want to be able to do.

If you are new to woven wraps, choose your base size wrap. Your BASE SIZE is the wrap length that will allow you to comfortably tie all of the full length carries.

If you live somewhere very hot or prefer to use a shorter wrap that will have fewer layers around you and baby, I recommend choosing a size that is 2 sizes smaller than your BASE SIZE.

1. Use the chart below to find your base size.
2. Select your base size or a wrap that is 2 sizes smaller than your base size.
3. If you are wrapping a large toddler or wrapping twins, you can use a wrap that is 1 size larger than your base size.
