The Smitten Vena Cava Warrior woven wrap from Smitten with Wovens is designed for Collin, a very special young CHD (congenital heart defect) warrior. Blood red hearts are woven on ecru (reverse shows ecru hearts on red).

Smitten named this wrap for the vein that returns deoxygenated blood to the heart – the vena cava. Smitten Vena Cava Warrior is a heart wrap that represents all heart warriors. Indeed, Smitten donates a portion of the profits to Save a Child’s Heart, making Vena Cava a wrap with a cause. This baby carrier supports the lives and well-being of children financially while supporting your own baby or child physically in extreme comfort and cuteness!

Smitten has woven Vena Cava Warrior in an amazing tencel/cotton blend. This wrap is incredibly soft after the first wash and molds to both your bodies easily. Smitten Vena Cava Warrior is a fantastic wrap for a new-wrapper. The fabric glides well, making it easy to wrap with, and is super supportive to contain your wiggly toddler!

All Smitten wraps are wide at about 29-30 inches after the first wash. This means you will have plenty of width as your baby grows. So this one wrap can serve all of your babywearing needs from newborn through preschool!

Smitten Vena Cava Warrior is a medium weight wrap at approximately 260 g/m² pre-wash.  G/m² stands for grams per square meter (sometime shown as gsm), a measurement for fabric weight.

What is Tencel and Why Tencel in a Woven Wrap?

Tencel or lyocell is a sustainable fabric, regenerated from wood cellulose. It is similar in hand to rayon and bamboo. However, Tencel is one of the most environmentally friendly regenerated fabrics. Tencel fibers are grown sustainably.  They use new sustainable technologies to eliminate the negative environmental impacts of traditional fiber processing.

Tencel has the same soft cushiness of bamboo.  It has the same shine and elegant drape of bamboo, too, but it is tougher and more supportive. That means it will still be comfortable when your baby is a heavy toddler.

It is also sturdier than bamboo and easier to care for so you can machine wash and dry.

Smitten Vena Cava Warrior Wrap Care Instructions

Smitten with Woven wraps arrive in loomstate, which means they need to be washed prior to first use. You will find that the first wash will cause this special tencel/cotton blend to poof and become blankety soft and moldable.

Initial Wash – Machine wash on cold with color safe detergent and tumble dry on low heat.

All subsequent washes – Machine wash on gentle cycle in cold water and tumble dry low.  Once dry, we recommend steam ironing the wrap to soften it and prevent creasing.

Please note: some cosmetic flaws are possible. These may include skipped threads, or large floats and are not considered flaws or safety concerns. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

US SHIPPING:

Free Shipping on all wraps and babywearing coats, sweatshirts and jackets by USPS Priority Mail, so you should have your wrap 2-4 working days from when you place your order.

Shipping cost on T-shirts varies by location.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING:

For wraps, babywearing coats, sweatshirts and jackets, most of my international shipments are sent by USPS Priority Mail International with a discounted shipping rate of $26 for most European and Australian shipments and $30 for most Canadian shipments. I ship worldwide - put a wrap in the cart and enter your shipping address to get a shipping quote.

For T-shirts, international shipping costs and times vary by location - put your T-shirt in your cart to see your options!

USPS Priority International reports a shipping time of 6 - 10 business days to most major markets. That means that if you live far from a major city, it may take a little longer.

I am not responsible for any customs fees that may be charged on international packages.

LAYAWAY:

I offer a payment plan to help budget for a wrap that you can afford. Purchase your wrap with the layaway option to make a 25% down payment. At this time the wrap is taken out of inventory and reserved for you so no one else can buy it.

You will be invoiced by email for the same amount once a month for the next 3 months, and when it is paid in full, I will ship your wrap to you. Make sure to add diana@wrapyourbaby.com to your Safe Senders list and/or check your spam folder if you don't receive your invoice.

Please note that you are required to make monthly payments and if you cannot make a payment or the payment will be late, make sure to contact me by email at diana@wrapyourbaby.com so that we can work something out.

If I do not receive your payment when due and cannot reach you by email, I reserve the right to cancel your layaway and return the item to inventory. If you want to be refunded for a cancelled layaway wrap, you must contact me.

WORRY FREE RETURN/EXCHANGE POLICY:

Unless otherwise specified, you may return a wrap in like-new, unwashed condition for an exchange or full refund for any reason, within 30 days of purchase.

To return a wrap or other item, please email me at diana@wrapyourbaby.com so that I can send you the return address.

If you are expecting or purchasing for an expecting mother, let me know the date of birth or adoption and I will count the 30 day period from that time. Let me know about any other unusual circumstances so that I can work with you fairly.
